Quinton/Joehnck coupe

* Rudy Rodriguez, while known for one trendsetting hot rod pickup, is more than a one-trick pony, having built many slick period hot rods, including this restoration of the Quinton/Joehnck Competition Coupe, which won its class at the Grand National Roadster Show in 2007. (via)

papercraft Apes

* Internet nerds seem to love papercraft. We love Piaggio Apes. Designer Vincenzo Cianciullo combined both, along with some judicious battle scarring to make his Ape-Paper Collection, which you can print out and fold up to create your own three-wheeled delivery scooter. (via)

La Carrera Panamericana 2009 carnage

* If it’s late October, it must be time for the annual La Carrera Panamericana, and the wreckage has started already. Steve Berry is traveling with the Apple Farmer Racing team and has been providing dispatches from the field. “We’ll be blogging from the road with plenty of photos and as much video as the Mexican internet can get handle,” he said.

stolen Can Am art* Finally, though we normally keep stolen car notices to the realm of actual driving cars, we’ll make an exception for this piece of car art, a 1974 piece by Lee Mollicone that was stolen out of the Los Angeles area. (via)
